Star Flight Foundation

The mission of Star Flight Foundation is to:

Increase the quality of training and experience-building opportunities, and thus the overall quality of aviation personnel, in ways that are not possible in a traditional for-profit flight school model

Assist those without the means or background to afford or excel when given those opportunities

Create opportunities that enable the pursuit and enjoyment of aviation at a lower cost for everyone

Star Flight Foundation has been granted 501(c)(3) status and is registered to solicit and accept charitable donations. Your donation may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. We are working on a more complete website where supporting documents will be readily available to the public.

Programs

Some of the programs we have in various stages of development:

Non-Profit Flight School

Our entire flight training program is a non-profit operation. All the revenue generated at our school goes directly to fund and conduct our charitable programs as well as reduce the overall cost of flight training for everyone.

Maintenance Lab

Development of workspace meant to help pilots better understand their aircraft systems, give A&Ps a place to learn, practice, and grow, and provide hands-on learning experiences to groups of any age.

Educator Flights

Providing educators with a free flight experience that they can share with their students.

Rising Stars

Helping local schools develop viable pathways for students that are interested in a career in aviation.

Flight Training Cost Reduction

Avenues for funding specialized flight training programs including incentivized grants, matching funds, and performance-based funding for qualifying individuals.

Free Ground Training / Tutoring

We have ground instructors available free of charge to students and pilots of any level, regardless of where they normally train.
